Preperation
When preparing for the upload of material to the Online Deposit Server, several things have to be taken care of. First of all you will need a login and password for this service, contact your local representative or use the Escrow Contact Form. Once a request for a login and password has been submitted NCC Group Escrow Europe will verify your request and issue out the login and password. If you use the HTTPS service you can upload only one file at a time. For that reason you will have to create an archive of all files you wish to upload. We recommend you use any of these popular archive formats:
- Zip
- 7-Zip
- Rar
- Tar with gzip
WARNING: When archiving or compressing the material make sure that the original directory structure is preserved in the archive! Once a single archive has been created it is strongly recommended to encrypt the material before uploading it.

Once you have obtained a login and a password, and you have archived the material into a single file, you can go the the upload section by clicking on "Upload" in the navigation menu on the left-hand side of your screen. Before you can access the page your login and password will be requested, once given you will see the upload page. Depending on the size of the file that you are trying to upload, it can take from mere seconds to multiple hours to finish the upload.
WARNING: During the upload there will be no custom made progress bar indicating how far the upload has progressed! [See "Why can't I see how far my upload has progressed?" for more information.]
SFTP
Please consult the user guide which accompanies your SFTP Client Software. Technical information (for example IP-address or hostname) will be provided to you in a separate email.
Acknowledgement that the Escrow Deposit has been received
You will receive an email to confirm the outcome of the upload (successful or failed)
